PURPOSE: Routine monthly sampling of prawns and other animals for distribution, abundance, and genetic studies. COMMENTS: Cruise TP.02/78 was the sixth routine cruise in our current series. A violent monsoonal depression delayed the start of the cruise for two days and a 2-3m swell, during the first week caused modification or abandonment of some shallow water stations. In spite of this late start and some minor mechanical problems, 95%(200/210) of the proposed stations were sampled. Voyage/Survey leader(s): J.A.
