Voyage/Survey description: H.M.A.S Diamantina cruise Dm 3/60 was undertaken to carry out oceanographic sampling close to the bottom in the Indian Ocean (area 10 degrees to 32 degrees S, 85 degrees to 110 degrees E), to determine the extent of the influx of Antartic Intermediate, Atlantic Deep and Antartic Bottom water. Hydrological (deep stations and surface), primary production, pigments, phytoplankton and zooplankton samples were collected and analysed on board and back at the Cronulla laboratory.
