The end of an era
Australia's 55 metre oceanographic research vessel, RV Franklin,
was
operated by CSIRO Marine Research as a National Facility since
1985. RV Franklin undertook its last voyage as a National Facility
in the first half of 2002. RV Franklin has now been retired.
