The AO-DAAC is a system designed to make access to large data sets easy and almost instantaneous. The system allows you to select a data product and then a volume of data in space and time. Your request causes a series of processes to occur, resulting in the production of a "cube" of data matching your request. Data can be formatted as an HDF file, a netCDF file or text.

Please be mindful of the volume of data you request. Really large volumes will take some time to assemble, and even more time to download.
