South East Fishery Mapping Project

Project progress

ABOUT THE PROJECT

CSIRO-industry SEF mapping project

This 2-year project - funded by the Fisheries Research and Development Corporation (FRDC) - is a partnership between CSIRO and the two main sectors of the fishing industry in the South East Fishery; trawl and non-trawl. Our project team consists of three scientists at CSIRO (Alan Williams, Nic Bax and Bruce Barker) and two consultants (Pascale Baelde – Sea Matters and Crispian Ashby – MAFRI). We are working with individual operators and through the peak industry bodies (SETFIA & SENTA) and guided by a steering committee.
