Prepared SST imagery for the Telstra Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race - 1997

There are periods when persistent and extensive cloud cover the region shown on the images. At these times no images are made.

The image name contains date and time information relating to when the satellite data was received.The information is arranged "YYMMDDHH.gif" where YY is the year, MM the month number and DD the day number and HH is a code for time of day (04 - afternoon, 08 - evening, 16 - early morning and 20 - mid morning).

Date and time information are in Greenwich Mean Time (UTC) which is 10 hours behind AEST.
